Buying pressure on BSE pulls the five financial companies SIF down 2% at closing bell

Liquidity amounted to 24.21 million lei, versus 34.76 million lei in the previous session.

The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on BSE slipped 0.38 percent to 5,923.05 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies decreased 0.29 percent to 3,562.55.

The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIF plunged 2.01 percent to 31,006.62 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna eased 0.13 percent to 12,090.21.

The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies fell 1.05 percent to 584.41 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market dropped 0.26 percent to 818.08.

Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) sponged deals of 7.06 million lei and declined 1.06 percent to 1.87 lei, while those of SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) sank 2.07 percent to 1.42 lei.

On the banking sector, Banca Transilvania (TLV) reduced 0.44 percent to 2.25 lei and BRD SocGen (BRD) compressed 0.65 percent to 15.20 lei.
