BNR’s exchange rate stood at 4.2385 lei per euro yesterday.
In the first part of the session, the leu advanced from 4.2333 to 4.2206 versus the euro and then slipped to 4.2275 lei per euro around 1 p.m.
For the U.S. dollar, BNR’s reference level grew 0.41 percent to 3.2974 lei per dollar, from 3.2839 in the previous session.
On the international market, the dollar soared from 1.2825 to 1.2785 per euro and then came back to 1.2825 dollars per euro around noon.
Overnight interests on the monetary market stood around 2.02 – 2.52 percent a year, significantly below the key interest rate of 6.25 percent a year.
