“In the past few years, the gap between the fixed income of top management positions and that of middle management positions has narrowed. In the past two years, economic growth generated a higher volume of recruiting for middle management positions, which directly led to an increase in salaries, to attract the good applicants on the market. Thus, the salary level for such positions automatically increased,” Oana Datki, Country Manager of the Consulteam recruitment company, Mercer’s local partner, said.

According to the official, generally, middle management positions are key positions, and the policy for retaining and motivating such employees involves an alignment of the salary to the new market conditions.

The widest gap between the salary of a top manager and that of a middle manager is registered in the IT&C field, where a top manager earns almost three times more than a middle manager.
