The prosecutors of the anti-corruption department (DNA) issued Tuesday morning 24-hour detention ordinances for Diaconescu and Parv, for blackmail and complicity to blackmail.
DNA prosecutors sustain Dan Diaconescu allegedly received 30,000 euros and 4,200 lei from the mayor Ioan Mot, who he threatened to reveal details about how he managed to obtain his fortune illegally.
The prosecutors took Monday from the headquarter of OTV a tape with Diaconescu’s TV show from July 2009 also including a promo in which important disclosures about the mayor Ioan Florin Mot were announced.
The complaint from DNA was made by the mayor of Zarand town, Ioan Florin Mot, who says Parv asked him 200,000 euros to not show on TV a discreditable story about his huge fortune.
