BNR’s exchange rate stood at 4.2463 lei per euro yesterday.
In the first part of the session, the leu declined from 4.2464 to 4.2545 versus the euro and then inched to 4.2535 lei per euro around 1 p.m.
For the U.S. dollar, BNR’s reference level reduced 0.33 percent to 3.2369 lei per dollar, from 3.2476 in the previous session.
On the international market, the dollar had a pretty stable evolution during the morning and waved close to 1.3138 dollars per euro around 1 p.m.
Overnight interests on the monetary market stood at 2.05 – 2.55 percent a year, way below the monetary policy rate of 6.25 percent a year.
