Deals with shares amounted to 22.47 million lei, while those with bonds about 16.31 million lei.
The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on the market rose 1 percent to 5,116.07 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies added 0.93 percent to 2,994.20.
The BET-FI index of the five financial companies SIF climbed 4.02 percent to 28,891.15 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna advanced 0.77 percent to 10,471.09.
The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies jumped 1.96 percent to 521.06 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market inched 0.71 percent to 657.23.
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) were the most traded on the market and gained 3.9 percent to 1.60 lei and those of SIF Moldova (SIF2) rose 3.79 percent to 1.37 lei.
On the banking sector, Banca Transilvania (TLV) increased 1.42 percent to 2.14 lei, while Erste Bank (EBS) lost 0.52 percent to 114.90 lei.
Romania’s top oil company Petrom (SNP) soared 2.16 percent to 0.284 lei and drilling company Dafora Medias (DAFR) grew 4.42 percent to 0.118 lei.
