The Bucharest Stock Exchange ends session with declines, the five SIFs plunge 2%

Liquidity rose to 35.44 million lei, from 26 million lei in the previous session.

The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on BSE slipped 0.45 percent to 5,898.45 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies plummeted 0.98 percent to 3,394.48.

The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIF sank 1.93 percent to 31,434.50 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna tumbled 1 percent to 11,678.57.

The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies lowered 1.12 percent to 579.10 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market reduced 0.70 percent to 784.85.

SIF Oltenia (SIF5) was the most liquid stock on the market and sponged deals of 7.74 million lei at day-end, but its shares fell 1.69 percent to 1.75 lei. SIF Moldova (SIF2) crashed 2.65 percent to 1.47 lei.

Shares of oil refinery Rompetrol Rafinare (RRC) depreciated 1.07 percent to 0.0740 lei, while Romania’s largest oil company Petrom (SNP) dropped 1.79 percent to 0.33 lei.
