The SIF sector on BSE sinks 2.5% at closing bell, following unfavorable external context

Liquidity hiked to 34.76 million lei, from 13.7 million lei in the previous session.

The BET index reflecting the evolution of the ten best companies on BSE lowered 2 percent to 5,945.60 and the BET-C composite index assessing all listed shares minus financial companies reduced 1.81 percent to 3,572.99.

The BET-FI index of the five financial companies known as SIF crashed 2.51 percent to 31,644.24 and the ROTX index for trading blue-chips in Vienna dropped 1.96 percent to 12,106.12.

The BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid companies tumbled 2.07 percent to 590.63 and the BET-NG index showing the evolution of the power market fell 1.55 percent to 820.22.

Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) were the most liquid this session and declined 2.58 percent to 1.89 lei, while those of SIF Banat-Crisana (SIF1) plunged 3.07 percent to 1.58 lei.

On the banking sector, BRD SocGen (BRD) slipped 1.92 percent to 15.30 lei and Erste Bank (EBS) plummeted 2.23 percent to 140 lei.
